Career advancement can seem elusive when working from home. You don’t have the access and feedback that is easy to achieve in an office setting. And networking can seem impossible. How do you make new contacts and stay in touch with existing ones when you can’t engage with other people face-to-face?

The impact of stay-at-home restrictions has been particularly harmful to women. In this virtual workshop, gender bias and career advancement experts Andie Kramer and Al Harris will share four steps women should take to assure they can continue to advance in their careers despite the changing workplace, and how men can become more effective leaders and allies by supporting their female colleagues. Additionally, Andie and Al will discuss the clear career benefits of an effective network, and how women and men can strengthen their networks while working from home.

Andie Kramer is a partner at an international law firm. Alongside her demanding legal career, she has become a nationally known advocate for women’s advancement. Because mentorship opportunities for young executive and professional women are often limited, she co-founded the Women’s Leadership and Mentoring Alliance (WLMA) and has developed numerous women-specific leadership training programs. Andie is the recipient of a long list of accolades and awards for both achievements in her legal career and her advocacy of women. Among her accolades is being named on National Law Review’s 50 most influential women lawyers in America for her “demonstrated power to change the legal landscape, shape public affairs, launch industries, and do big things
