Please note: The WIOA Program is designed for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed. Those employed full time are likely not eligible for WIOA (but all are welcome to attend to gain information and share with your network).
This presentation will explain how to get started in applying for a WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) training voucher and is informative only; there is no cost and no obligation at any time.
What is WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act)? A Federal “back to work” program helping individuals update their skills and increase their marketability through training. The purpose of WIOA is to assist the unemployed and underemployed to return to the workforce, improve Job Retention, and increase earnings long term. Why are these grants provided? By helping one person, WIOA improves the quality of the overall workforce, opens the door to in-demand professions, and enhances the competitiveness of our nation as a whole.
Who is MicroTrain? A leading provider of PMP, IT and Management Training including Process Improvement and Data Analytics. Live training, books, exams and job fairs are included; all at no cost through the WIOA Program. Samantha Galloway, Senior Program Director at MicroTrain and is a former client of MicroTrain.
