Just like any face-to-face interview, the person on the other side is looking to determine your trustworthiness and reliability; make sure you’re calm, straightforward, and share a bit of your humor.
The ways you establish that rapport on camera are similar to an in-person interview where you dress professionally, show up on time, smile, and engage.
Our impressions in a virtual setting are just as important.
Often, people who would otherwise be very intentional with how they dress, present, and organize themselves for face-to-face meetings will throw everything they know about making an impression out the window when they present themselves online. Even for an interview!
