 Making the GIG Economy Work for You

Led by: Tim Conway, CTC Coach and Job Detective

The Gig Economy now involves 50+ million Americans.  Many are professionals who prefer to work independently while others see this as a path from temporary to permanent employment to even entrepreneurship. 

Terms to describe these professionals: Soloist; Freelancer; Contractor; Consultant.  This form of employment can be part-time or as a full-time career. The sector is vital to understand since you can earn income as a temporary contributor; or as part of an organization, you could manage this expanding segment of the workforce.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Gain understanding of the significant Gig Economy

  2. Increase self-awareness to determine if Gig Economy fits you

  3. Grasp self-marketing techniques to position yourself as a viable Soloist

  4. Obtain knowledge for the hiring/guidance of Soloists
