Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for Transition

Led by Deb Wilson

Experienced MBSR Instructor

Program Description:

This Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction workshop will provide an overview of the principles of mindfulness.  MBSR is a world renowned program originally developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D..

Instructor Deb Wilson will share the science behind MBSR mindfulness practices and lead participants in various mindfulness practices designed to work with the stressors of daily life and stress during periods of change and transition.

MBSR is highly researched and these mindfulness practices are proven techniques that help reduce stress, enhance focus, gain personal insight and access inner resources, build resilience, and help to enhance peace of mind and quality of life.

 About the Instructor:

Deb has been a practitioner of MBSR since 1997 and has used this practice during job loss and career transitions, in managing her own health issues, and in supporting others as a family caregiver. She has been a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for over 10 years and has offered MBRS and other Mindfulness/Meditation  programs to a multitude of individuals and groups (in person and via Zoom).
