Position Overview:


The Program and Coaching Director serves as organizational liaison for all Career Transitions Center (CTC) programs working with the executive director, program committee, and volunteer career coaches. We are looking for a  high-energy, dynamic and collaborative professional to build on our tradition of robust programming to support our clients, coaches and prospective clients. We are counting on you to ensure that our clients have a great experience! You are timely, responsive, empathetic, and have good problem solving skills. Reports to the executive director. 


Volunteer Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise (approximately 50) career coaches, peer group leaders and workshop facilitators for virtual service delivery.

Program Management

  • Plan, organize, and monitor workshops (approximately 12 workshops and 4 peer groups per month). Requires working with 20 volunteer facilitators.
  • Conducts weekly information sessions via Zoom to the public: Three Mondays and one Wed evening per month.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of Strong and StrengthsFinder assessments with contractors.
  • Provide quarterly coaches meetings for networking and professional skills development and annual Spring Coaches Appreciation luncheon.
  • Introduce new programs (preferably revenue generating or underwritten) aligned with/extending the relevance of CTC’s mission/offerings, and others as determined with the Executive Director.
  • Develop videos and webinars via CTC’s website and You Tube page.
  • Deliver programming as a substitute, as needed.
  • Assist with Youth Programming and Customized Training, as needed.

Administration

  • Establish the monthly program schedule and posts to Calendar on CTC website (3-4 weeks ahead of current date).
  • Create the monthly client, alumni, and sponsor e-newsletters and documents open rates.
  • Advise the social media consultant on themes and focus.
  • Provide coaching and program recommendations to new clients and ongoing counsel when requested.
  • Ensure all manuals—New Client, Youth Tech & Social Services-are updated annually.

Supervision: 1 to 2 interns.


    Qualifications:

      • Two years of prior experience in coaching college students or professionals.
      • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Proficient user of social media and Microsoft Office applications.
      • Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently. 
      • Must be able to operate in a collaborative team environment.
      • High energy and strong customer service focus.
      • Must have a driver’s license and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
      • Experience in corporate training and development helpful.
      • Experience in human resources helpful.
